Our timber analysis and repair process enables us to accurately work to a clients brief. An initial structural survey includes extensive record drawing and photography. We will then produce schedules of timber frame repair and reconstruction.
Our restoration service focus’ on preserving as much of the original frame as possible. We repair sections of the structurally unsound timber frame, or replace entire beams if our timber analysis process deems necessary, whilst still maintaining the historic framework. Often the original carpenters marks can still be seen on the timbers and these can be used to re-create the structure as it was intended. Our restoration work encompasses both listed buildings and more modern structures in need of timber analysis and repair.
